Stockport short breaks activities grant funding

Stockport Council is interested in hearing from organisations (large, medium or small, new or old) who offer activities for children and young people, who are ambitious to develop their organisation to be fully inclusive for children with SEND.

Grant funding is available for organisations that provide day, evening, weekend and school holiday activities for disabled children and young people, in the community.  The aim is to enable the child to participate in fun, interesting and safe activities and to provide a break from caring for the parents/carers.

To be eligible for grant funding, the activities must be for children and young people:

  • resident in Stockport

  • aged under 18

  • with a disability, including those with autistic spectrum conditions, profound and multiple learning disabilities and complex health needs.

The grant funding will be for activities running between 1 April 2025 and 31 March 2026.

Applications plus cost schedule should be sent to David.hulley@stockport.gov.uk no later than 5pm on Monday 10 February 2025.
