Black & Global Majority: Innovate & Sustain Fund
African Health Policy Network is offering 8 grants between £20,000 and £30,000 for Black and Global Majority-ked organisations across the UK who are working to improve the health and well-being of Black and global majority communities. To apply, 75% of the organisation’s governing body members and more than 50% of leadership but be represented by Black and Global Majority communities. This is a 2 stage application.
The expressions of interest deadline is midnight Monday 23 December.
GM Victims Capability & Capacity Fund
GMCA have now announced a 3-year small grants programme for VCFSE organisations supporting victims of crime within Greater Manchester. £5,000 is available to organisations providing essential services to victims of crime to help them cope and recover REGARDLESS of whether the crime is reported to the Police or not.
There will be three discrete elements to the fund:
-Small grants to be awarded to community organisation who support victims (Max £5,000) Such as - Cost of living grant for victims – to provide personal budgets and personal funding for victims with cost-of-living pressures
-Cost of living grant for organisations working with victims (Max £2,000)
-Grant to organisations working with victims (Max £ 5,000) Supporting Community development and collaboration
Applications will close on Monday 6 January
Youth Music Trailblazer Fund
Grants are available to constituted UK based organisations to run projects in England for children and young people (aged 25 or under) to make music activity more inclusive and foster learning, creation and employment opportunities.
Organisations are welcome to apply for up to £30,000, by 11th April 2025.

Hong Kong BN(O) VCFSE Small Grants
Up to £5000 is available to support the integration of Hong Kong BN(O) visa holders across the North West. The grant is open to a range of proposals including helping BN(O) visa holders to access services and support, supporting those experiencing destitution, support integrating with the community, and accessing ESOL.

Make it Big Round 2 with Pathway Fund
Make It Big is here to fill a crucial gap in support for Black and Global Majority-led charities and social enterprises, helping you strengthen your foundation and prepare for social investment.
This unique programme is designed to empower Black and Global Majority-led charities and social enterprises across the UK. Through grants of £25,000, alongside expert-led support and training, the programme will equip organisations to overcome systemic challenges, scale sustainably, and drive meaningful, lasting change.

Stockport short breaks activities grant funding
Stockport Council is interested in hearing from organisations (large, medium or small, new or old) who offer activities for children and young people, who are ambitious to develop their organisation to be fully inclusive for children with SEND.
Grant funding is available for organisations that provide day, evening, weekend and school holiday activities for disabled children and young people, in the community. The aim is to enable the child to participate in fun, interesting and safe activities and to provide a break from caring for the parents/carers.
To be eligible for grant funding, the activities must be for children and young people:
resident in Stockport
aged under 18
with a disability, including those with autistic spectrum conditions, profound and multiple learning disabilities and complex health needs.
The grant funding will be for activities running between 1 April 2025 and 31 March 2026.
Applications plus cost schedule should be sent to David.hulley@stockport.gov.uk no later than 5pm on Monday 10 February 2025.
Autotrader Community Fund
Grants for small, community-based and locally controlled groups who need a bit of financial help to be able to work with their community in the way they would like to. Grants of up to £2,500 are available.

Baobab Community Fund
This funding programme from the Baobab Foundation supports Black and Global Majority individuals and organisations tackling racial injustice in their collective work. The fund offers grants ranging from £5,000 to £30,000 per year for up to 5 years. Applications close on Monday 3 February.

Lloyds Bank Foundation: Specialist Programme
A programme for small, local, specialist charities supporting people facing complex issues.
Under this programme, successful applicants will receive a grant of £75,000 over three years, along with a breadth of tailored support aimed at helping strengthen charities and building the knowledge, skills and capabilities of their staff and trustees.
There are 83 grants available across England & Wales.
The deadline for applications is 23 January 2025, 5pm.

Tesco Stronger Starts with Groundwork
The programme is open to all schools, registered charities and not-for-profit organisations, with priority given to projects that provide food and support to young people.
Freshwater Community Grant Fund
An opportunity for community groups within a 20 mile radius of Dunham Massey (which includes the whole of Stockport) to bid for funding of between £500 and £5,000 for initiatives that create, look after, or improve local freshwater habitats and provide opportunities for people to connect with nature.
The money has to provide some sort of positive benefit for water and habitats. This could be as large scale as building a pond, or it could also be smaller scale community activity such as a river litter pick. This money could be spent by groups to take communities on trips to freshwater areas, so long as there is a positive impact on the freshwater area while they are there (e.g. litter pick, citizen science data collection, learning how to make a good freshwater habitat at home). The money could also be used by the groups to purchase outdoors equipment or to provide training in outdoors activities. The criteria is purposefully broad to allow creativity in applications.
Projects must be completed by 31 December 2025.
Energy Redress Scheme
Organisations wishing to access the Energy Redress Scheme must complete a simple online information form so that Energy Saving Trust can check whether they are eligible to apply. Organisations that meet the initial criteria will be notified and will be emailed a link to create an account, through which they can apply for all subsequent rounds.
The amount of funding available through the scheme varies throughout the year and will be reviewed on a quarterly basis in January, April, July and October. When funds become available, eligible organisations will be notified to use their online account to apply for funds.
Buttle UK - Chances for Children
Buttle UK provide individually tailored grants of up to £2,400 for children and young people who have experienced a crisis that has recently had a significant and enduring impact on their wellbeing and educational engagement.
They only accept applications from frontline professionals working for a registered charity, housing association or public sector organisation.
There is a list of things they WON’T fund, including where the main reason is disability, ongoing serious illness or the additional needs of a child.

JJ Charitable Trust Literacy Small Grants Scheme
Grants are available for organisations undertaking charitable projects focusing on literacy teaching for children with learning difficulties, including dyslexia, in the UK.

The True Colours Trust
UK Small Grants provides grants of up to £10,000 to help support families, children and young people in the UK with complex disabilities and/or life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.
The Trust seeks to bring about better lives for children and their families through a broad mix of research, advocacy, service delivery and innovation.
The programme is open to applications at any time. They aim to respond to your application with a final decision within eight weeks but this can sometimes take longer.
The Manchester Guardian Charitable Trust
The Trust makes donations of between £250 – £3,500 in the Greater Manchester area, specifically to benefit smaller charities. They are particularly interested in assisting:
Organisations for young people e.g. scouts, guides, youth organisations
Provision for the sick and disabled
Assistance for groups providing for the elderly and disadvantaged members of society
Support for educational initiatives by arts organisations particularly for children and young people
Community associations; and Organisations providing services for people in Greater Manchester.
There is no deadline, however, only one application will be accepted from an organisation within a two year period.
Gilchrist Educational Trust
The Gilchrist Educational Trust offers grants for individuals, expeditions and organisations.
One-off grants generally between £500 and £4,000 for registered UK voluntary and community organisations for projects that fill gaps in educational provision or make a specific aspect of education or learning more accessible.
Deadline 28th February 2025.
The Shears Foundation
Grants of between £2750 and £5750 for registered charities working in one of their priority areas:
Culture and the arts, educational opportunities for adults and / or children, protection, preservation or enhancement of the natural environment, stronger / better / more sustainable communities, promoting health and medicine, with an emphasis on research or education, but not hospices.
They hold a priority to north of England and will fund core costs.
Applications are considered quarterly, with the next deadlines being 31st August 2024, 30th November 2024, 28th February 2025.
Britford Bridge Trust
Grants of up to £30k for the prevention or relief of poverty, education, health or the saving of lives, and the arts, culture, heritage, or science.
The secondary charitable purposes of the Trust are citizenship or community development; amateur sport; environmental protection or improvement; and the relief of those in need by reason of youth, age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship, or other disadvantage.
Applications to the trust are reviewed quarterly. Quarterly cut offs are 30 March, 30 June, 30 September and 31 December each year.

These funds have a rolling deadline and can be applied for at any time.

The Core Costs Funding Stream is for charities and not-for-profit organisations. Applicants to this programme can apply for grants for up to three years. They aim to give quicker decisions for grants of £15,000 or less per year.

Funding for specific projects and activities children and young people aged 18 or under. Priority to smaller, local organisations and rarely fund organisations with income above £1 million. For UK wide Hospices and Housing Associations there is no maximum income limit. They will only consider applications for over £15,000 pa, if you are a registered non profit.
