Live Well Fund - Stockport
An opportunity to close the gap on
health inequalities
The Live Well Fund is Greater Manchester’s movement for community-led health and wellbeing; supporting healthier, happier and fairer communities by growing opportunities for everyone to Live Well.
This first year will be used as seed funding, aiming to build on and strengthen our existing Voluntary and Community infrastructure.
Collaboratively funded by NHS Greater Manchester and Greater Manchester Combined Authority, distributed and managed by Local Infrastructure Organisations. In Stockport, Sector 3 are distributing the funds.

The fund priorities have been shaped by the local Voluntary & Community sector, complemented by insights from independent reports & data.
We are looking to fund services that:
Support people from culturally diverse / global majority communities – making sure health and wellbeing services are inclusive and accessible to all.
Help young people – improving their physical and mental wellbeing, building confidence, and creating safe, supportive spaces.
Tackle social isolation – helping people who feel disconnected from their communities to build friendships and support networks. You don’t need to already be working with these groups – this fund is to help you reach these communities through adapting your services.
Each project or service must be able to showcase its impact on reducing health inequalities of the global majority, socially isolated individuals and/or children and young people at the end of the 12-month funding period.
-
We want to fund projects that:
Make services more accessible – for example, adapting sessions to include people with disabilities, offering culturally appropriate support, or reducing language barriers.
Increase outreach – reaching people who may not usually access support, such as through community ambassadors and partnership working.
Be Active – Encouraging communities to move, play and stay physically well through inclusive and engaging activities
Important: This fund is for VCFSEs with a proven track record of delivering groups and services in Stockport. Applicants must be able to demonstrate their work and impact within local communities.
