Celebrating Stockport’s Volunteers

Following on from the incredible response to the first Stockport Rocks! Volunteer Awards Celebration, we are back for 2025 with our second event.

Stockport Rocks! began following requests from our Voluntary & Community sector on the importance of rewarding and celebrating our invaluable volunteer workforce. Without them, our, over 1,700, local charities, community groups and social enterprises would not be able to run the vital community services that keep our communities healthy, happy and safe.

So we think they more than deserve a knees up celebration!

We are once again working with Stockport Council, Stockport County Community Trust and Marketing Stockport to deliver a worthy celebration event for 400 guests at Edgeley Park.

Nominate somebody

There are eleven categories to choose from this year, including Corporate Volunteer Programme.

Nominations can be for someone who has a fixed volunteer role with an organisation, or someone who just likes to give back and help people out when needed. The person must live, volunteer or work in Stockport.

Nominations close Friday 28 February and you can make as many nominations as you wish.

For individuals that have helped their friends, family, neighbours and community
For those working behind the scenes, quietly and selflessley
For those who donate their time to looking after and protecting the environment for the benefit of Stockport residents
Celebrating an organisation run entirely by volunteers
For people under the age of 25
For a person who has dedicated their time over a long period
For those who support people to live healthy & happy lives
For those who support people to get active through sports and movement
Someone who brings together different communities in Stockport and champions inclusivity for all
For businesses that give back
To honor the commitment gone in to raising money for charity. Note, this is not judged on amount raised
