This training workshop is for VCFSE organisations only.
The University of Manchester, Joy Ethic and the National Centre for Research Methods (NCRM) have developed an exciting new resource that focusses on ways to creatively engage groups in story-telling activities, group discussions and sharing memories.
The resource, Story-telling Toolkit: Methods with Objects, uses a collection of items to prompt reflections, connections and stories that connect and inspire people. Each toolkit consists of a printed copy of the resource pack, which includes a booklet of five session ideas, as well as a selection of objects to get you started.
To launch the resource, they are running a free half-day training workshop on Tuesday, 6 December.
During this fun and interactive event, you’ll develop your own skills in running creative activities, using our new resource as a foundation. Participants will each receive a toolkit to take back and use within their groups.
The workshop will be delivered in-person at The University of Manchester’s Arthur Lewis Building, Oxford Road, Manchester. It will take place between 09:30 and 13:00, and will be followed by a free lunch.
The event is free for people who work or volunteer with VCFSE sector organisations only and lunch will be provided. Due to the limited size of the workshop, we can only accept registration of one person per organisation.
