Rescare will be joined by Dr. Laura Coulthard who works as the Designated Clinical Officer (DCO) for children, young people and adults living in County Durham who have SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities).

Dr Laura Coulthard and the Investing in Children team (a young people’s rights charity) have been working on the Language of Autism Project for some time now.

This involves a survey that asks about people’s preferred terms to describe autism and a short film to describe the survey findings. 

In this session Laura will tell us more about the project and this is a great opportunity for you to share your views.  Laura’s motivation for joining us is to speak to more families and organisations to see if watching the film changes our practice, perspective, thoughts or opinions in any way.
