Provides small grants up to £400 to support charitable organisations towards broader activities which improve Health, Place or Skills for families in their community.

Funding between £300 to £20,000 for VCFSE organisations to:

• bring people together to build strong relationships in and across communities

• improve the places and spaces that matter to communities

• help more people to reach their potential, by supporting them at the earliest possible stage

• support people, communities and organisations facing more demands and challenges because of the cost-of-living crisis.

Two grant options are available small grants of up to £100,000 and major grants of £100,000 or more. The types of grant made fall into one of three categories – Capital, Revenue (often called ‘core costs’) and Project work. The most important thing is that you apply for what you need.

Funding of up to £5,000 for UK registered charities and CIO’s currently supporting vulnerable people in geographical areas of high deprivation (within the UK) and with an annual income under £200,000.

Rolling deadline

The grant is always open for applications from charities and community organisations to bid for up to £1,500. Three projects in 575 local communities are voted on by customers in Tesco stores throughout the UK, with projects changing every three months.

Funding available for VCFSE’s with projects that have a positive impact on communities, people or the environment and an average annual income of less than £50,000. Organisations/groups do not need to be a registered charity, however, will need to have a bank account in the organisation’s/project’s name such as a community bank account.

Awards grants of an average of £5,000 to causes working at community level in the UK and developing countries which are less likely to be able to raise funds from public subscriptions. Current UK funding priorities are: Homelessness, Penal Affairs, Asylum Seekers and Refugees, Community-Based initiatives for Disadvantaged Young People Aged 16 to 25.

Funding of over £20,001+ for projects that help communities to thrive.

The deadline to apply is ongoing but be sure to spend time finessing your application.

Grants of £500 - £5,000 for small charities or groups that support older people 65+, adults with a physical or learning disability or mental health problems. They favour applications that help improve people’s mobility, independence and quality of life. Their funding focus is about connecting or re-connecting people with others in their local community.

Organisations such as Registered Charities, Community Interest Companies, Co-operatives and Credit Unions; etc. that have a Community Directplus account can apply for funding of up to £1,000 from the Customer Donation Fund.

Applications close in March and September every year

Awards grants of up to £25,000 to community projects that improve people’s lives. Applicants must also have raised some funding towards the project elsewhere.

Ongoing deadline

Funding pots of between £500 - £2,000 and £500 - £20,000 are available for projects centred around mental wellbeing, community participation in the arts, preventing or reducing the impact of poverty, supporting marginalised groups and promoting equality, improving biodiversity & green spaces, enabling participation in physical activity, responding to the climate emergency & promoting sustainability and increasing community access to outdoor space.

Funding round dates for 2024 are:

Round 1: 25 March 9am to 1 April 12 noon.

Round 2: 24 June 9am to 1 July 12 noon.

Round 3: 24 September 9 to 1st October 12 noon.

Funding of up to £50,000 is available for innovative ideas that benefit the community. Particular focus is on projects that aim to improve community resilience or financial inclusion. To take part the project must also be raising funds to develop a new approach, product or technology, pilot a new scheme, implement a new initiative, or expand existing services to a new area or beneficiary group.

Their funds to support projects that will fix, repair, maintain and improve properties and community facilities for those in need throughout the UK. The foundation currently offers local registered charities and not for profit organisations funding of up to £5,000

Applications are reviewed in February, May, August and November

They give grants towards the building or refurbishment of scout huts, village halls, community centres, youth clubs, boxing clubs, outdoor activity centres, farm and outdoor learning centres, sports centres and pavilions, playing fields and playgrounds. They also fund the purchase of new minibuses that assist those most in need in their local communities.
